Pig -1 is a female Calico born March 21, 2017
and last adopted January 22, 2019.
She is 2 years and 10 months old.
This baby is dedicated to a pet I loved dearly.
Maybe we feel empty because we leave pieces of ourselves in everything we used to love.
Not only is she one of my bigger dreamies, but this beautiful cat represents a special bunny I had a few years ago, who sadly passed away. Her name was Pig. Yes I know, I have a cat named after a rabbit who was named pig.. its a circle of crazy but I adore it.
Her name was Pig. I used to raise rabbits as pets and she was born in one of my litters. In the pile of brown baby bunnies, she was the only one with color. She was the calico version of the rabbit world, called ‘harlequin’. I named her Pig because she was the fattest in her litter lol it seemed like she ate twice as much. I bonded with this girl like no other bunny I had ever raised. I cant explain it but I had an incredible connection with her. She loved me and cuddled with me all the time, and I also loved her to bits. She would beg for treats and even knew a few simple tricks even though she was very young. She leaned how to used the litter box soooo fast, I cant believe how smart she was.
A few months after she was born, a terrible sickness passed through my herd. I went to a vets to get it treated and a week after that, I went to my barn to find 5 of my precious rabbits dead. One of them was my special little Piggie, who I moved out there because our AC was broken and it was cooler there because of the fans. She passed away from that terrible sickness with she was four months old. I cried for days and am still heartbroken. I buried my little Piggie with her littermate Chubbs, who also passed away that night. She may be gone but she is certainly not forgotten. I still have her mother Kiella and I think about her daily.
