I need to cancel my membership with Foopets (locked)

Last January I had upgraded to ClubFoo Plus on a 6-month option I thought was recurring only it wasn’t so I opted for the monthly plan until I could get a credit card for their annual fee. I was charged twice in July which I reported to no avail but my bank reversed the extra charge. I then downgraded to the free membership which is a drag especially since I was still charged $9.99 in August which my bank reversed. I got a new debit card with a new number only they still charged me $9.99 in September so I phoned my bank and put a stop-payment on further charges from FooPets. Having a free account with no Instacare is bad enough without getting charged for it as if I still had membership in ClubFoo Plus. If anyone can tell me if we can still cancel our membership with this Web site please let me know. I will miss my pets but not the owners. This being unable to speak to management about problems is just plain wrong. Thank you.

I’m sorry you have had to go through all this hassle & it has cost you financially, its all so very wrong!

I’ll be perfectly honest I as well as others I have spoken to off site are extremely annoyed that PL came back quick enough to make an announcement but still our support tickets go unchecked & the same with on site queries, it’s disgusting!

I don’t know if you can cancel your membership, I would think you can just make sure your bank is still aware so you don’t get any more payments taken. I always paid for 6 months in advance & just left my CF run out, no way would I pay for this again. I am just here till October when I think this site will finally go offline when the domain name expires!

Good luck Desertnan :0) x

Thank you for your reply which I only saw Tuesday the 10th. I had typed up a second post a few days ago which said in effect that I had a feeling that with no connection to staff we would not be able to cancel our memberships as we used to but had decided not to post it. You had the same thought. I assure you I did not lose a penny since my bank credited my account for each unauthorized charge from Foopets. It was just a bother to have to keep filing disputes so with the stop-payment I should not have to. I have no knowledge of what you are saying about the domain name expiring next month so I will have to just wait and see what happens. At least, if this site does go offline I will not have unfed pets for anyone to worry about. Best of luck in whatever this site’s future holds for all of us.

Sigh. I’ll bet they have an automatic renewal set up.

They do, when you cancel they somehow tag the old level in and you can’t get it to cancel no matter what. They ignore any attempt to get help to resolve the overcharge.

Please do not bring up old threads. I have locked this
And no, Foo does not have an automatic renewal set up unless the member is paying monthly
