birrrrrbs

Hi all.

My activity here has been pretty dead as of late (I’ve been mostly present in the FSG server), but I thought I’d pop in again.

My life is currently centred around my parrots. They’re my everything and they’re keeping me busy, which I’m thankful for. They’re helping me heal.

I now have a pineapple GC conure, two budgies, and a rescue Goffins c.ockatoo, and I’m so fortunate to have them.

I will be looking into adopting a blue and gold macaw in the near future as well, depending on whether or not I find a bird that will fit in well in my home.

casually shows off my flock of chickens….

I have a bird phobia but I enjoy looking at birds. I wouldn’t be able to touch the parrot, but I’d enjoy singing to the parrot for it to learn :)

thank you guys!! ❤️❤️They are the SWEETEST things and they give me that sense of purpose I’ve been missing.

Bingo (my c.ockatoo) is still incredibly timid and hand shy, but he came from a horribly nasty situation and he’d only been with the person who rescued him for approximately a year before he was rehomed to me. So it will take time for him to warm up to me

Aww! Your birds are so cute! I have a couple parakeets that I’d post pictures of if I could figure out how to. Monty is my older one, I’ve had him for 5 years, he’s blue. He’s never liked me all that much, came from a bad situation and just never got fully tame. He’ll step up for a treat but doesn’t stay on my finger. My new budgie, who I got a few months ago after my old boy Monday passed away, is named Pip. He’s yellow and green pied. He’s getting on pretty well with Monty, not totally trained yet, but he’s getting better.
